Our first violin lesson!

Violin lesson 1

Well done year 5! I was so impressed with your hard work this afternoon. You were really good at following instructions. This week your homework is to make your self a cardboard cut out of a violin so you can learn the string names and get practising with the finger positions. But don’t panic – I can give you a template to get you started.

Thanks again for all your hard work and I look forward to seeing you for lesson 2. Next week we are going to be looking at how we hold the bow.

Meanwhile you might want to watch these awesome violinists and listen to them describe how they learnt.Leave me your comments below.

  1. Well done Year 5. All of the photographs showed you concentrating very hard; what did you find the most difficult thing?

  2. Well done Yr 5, you look like you have made a great start! The violin can be a tricky instrument to learn but the great thing about it is that it can be used in so many different types of music! Keep working hard and it will be worth it, trust me! 🙂
