I had a very exciting day on Friday. I went to the Wigmore Hall – a very beautiful performance space in Central London – to learn how to make the most of all the percussion instruments we have on our music trolley. It was run by a company called Inspire-works who specialise in world music
We learnt about where the instruments had come from and were shown how to play them properly. I am really looking forward to passing this information on to you in our lessons.
The company that organised the training are also planning a very exciting samba project to support street children and to link with the World Cup. I am going to find out more about it and will let you know if it something we can take part in.
Meanwhile, have a listen to some of the music we created
