Year 4 – Percussion project with Ms Lili

We are incredibly lucky to be working with a very skilled professional musician who is going to help us establish our very own St Teresa’s percussion band!

Ms Lili specialises also in classical percussions: xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, glock and leads her own Latin jazz band called “Last Minute Orchestra”, which she also promotes. She is involved in a variety of musical projects with acclaimed musicians and producers such as Dennis Bovell (producer for UB40, reggae music),Wayne Marshall (producer and singer, RnB/soul music), Wayne Brown (VJB /Virtual Jazz Band, jazz/funk music) and DJ Chase Buch (resident of Ministry of Sound, house music).

Ms Lili also works and performs with the world famous American singer and song writer and producer Frank McComb. Lilia is also part of the Grand Union Orchestra (classical and world music) Click here to see their website She has a lot of experience in song writing, engineering, and studio work, and currently working on her new album. In the last year she has also performed at the London Jazz Festival, Womad, and The Big Chill ,Jazz Cafe , Ronnie Scott’s and Hideway Jazz Club.

How luck are we that she is going to be coming into St Teresa’s every Monday to work with year 4? It really is the most FANTASTIC opportunity for all of us to really learn how to perform. It will require concentration and self discipline from every single member of year 4 but I know we can do it!

Please could you leave a message below for Ms Lili – maybe you could send her a welcome or ask her a question or tell her about your own musical experiences.

I know that Ms Lili will be looking forward to reading your comments!
